This program is available to councils interested in offering sun safety education in a camp setting. Scouts may participate in age-appropriate group activities as they learn about sun safety and skin cancer prevention.

Councils also have the opportunity to offer the Sun Safety Patch Program, which may be earned by individual scouts or by an entire troop. The curriculum and patch designs are free to councils. Councils are responsible for ordering patches from an approved vendor and providing them to their scouts upon completion of the patch program.

Note: Councils may elect to purchase ultraviolet-sensitive wristbands (that turn color when exposed to sunlight) from Outrun the Sun to enhance their sun safety programming.
