Research shows that children who get sunburns at an early age have an increased risk for developing melanoma and other skin cancers later in life. The free Homeschool Education program provides information to help children learn about sun protection. It guides instructors in promoting sun safety behaviors to reduce students’ lifetime risk of developing skin cancers.  Lesson plans, activities, toolkits, and instructor guides are available for elementary, middle, and high school instructors and are linked to the Indiana Academic Standards.
