Research Focus: 

Dr. Chang is a general surgery resident planning to pursue a surgical oncology fellowship. His research interests include investigating the role of cellular plasticity and heterogeneity in melanoma metastasis formation. Under the guidance of his mentor Dr. Colin Kenny, he is working to define the significance of the MITF-TFE transcriptional axis in invasive melanoma. He is additionally interested in using machine learning algorithms and radiomics in improving diagnostic and clinical outcomes and medical education.
